Stunning large handmade Anduze Pot made in the Cevennes region of Southern France, Early 20th Century.
16 inches high, unusual colour. Lovely wear and patina to the outside and inside. This pot is unstamped, but handmade in Southern France.
Also known as Versailles pots, these forms were originally crafted for French aristocrats to be used as ornamentation to adorn their palaces and chateau. Typically, citrus trees were planted in them.
We cannot guarantee this pot to be frostproof, so it is advised to bring it inside during the Winter months and to avoid water build up during cold weather.
